Lay-Dopyera Forest

This 106-acre forest in Eldred Township was initially donated by Margaret and John Lay-Dopyera in 2015, and Troy Firth donated the timber rights on the property to the FSF in 2019. Margaret & John built a large, rustic lodge themselves in the early 1990's on an adjacent tract of land, and used it as a wooded retreat for musicians, creating a rich legacy for the property. The property is part of the Caldwell Creek Watershed Conservation Project.
