Gorgeous weather and rich discussions define “Loving the Land Through Working Forests” weekend

The Foundation for Sustainable Forests hosted a suite events over the weekend – both a celebration of working forests that support the rural economy and forest products, while also being managed for a number of critical conservation outcomes. At our 10th Loving the Land Through Working Forests Conference, attendees learned about “femelschlag” silviculture and walked a 40+-year time series of group selections, foraged for mushrooms, learned about invasive plant management, explored a 3-year study of forest birds in gaps, and so much more.
