As part of the statewide Walk in Penn’s Woods offerings, FSF invites you to take a walk with us at FSF’s new Northwestern REC Community Forest near Cambridge Springs, PA.

The 98-acre forest was acquired in 2024 through the generosity of the Northwestern Rural Electric Cooperative Association and a grant by the USDA Forest Service Community Forest Program. In addition to being managed as a sustainable working woodland, the Community Forest offers recreation and education opportunities for the Cambridge Springs community and greater region.

We will gather at the welcome kiosk along Electric Drive near the Cambridge Township municipal building.

The walk will be on relatively flat, but occasionally uneven, terrain. Please dress for the weather, brambles, and possibly soggy ground.

Water bottles and snacks will be provided.
